ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL ATTITUDE OF THE POLICE OUTSIDE. I
AN CENTRALE.
WE HAD OUR BAG STOLEN AND WERE UNABLE TO CATCH THE THIEF. A LOVELY ITALIAN MAN SHOUTED “ THEY HAVE STOLED YOUR BAG AMD BOTH HE AND MY HUSBAND RAN AFTER THEM. UT LOST THEM SO WENT STRAIGHT TO THE POLICE BESIDE THE BIG WHITE APPLE.
THE JUST SHRUGGED AND SAID GET THE METRO TO THE POLICE STATION. WE WERE DISTRAUGHT AND I AM A SICK, REGISTERED DISABLED 68 year old lady , whose medications, passports, money, my birthday presents ,house and car keys etc were in the bag. Then I saw the one with a plaster cast on his arm with several other thieving pigs and raised my walking stick and shouted to give us our bag back, the rest ran away and my husband went up to hi , demanding the bag, but he told Tom ha would have to pay €200 and Tom agreed aamd he said to follow him.
I was distraught as I feared they would kill him as the stall holders nearby, said not to mess with these Albanian villains as they had knifed 3 people recently. I was screaming at the police for help but they ignored me.
Then I saw my husband running towards me with the bag , shouting Police help, over and over but they did not respond. We only had minutes to catch our train and got on with seconds to spare. I collapsed on the floor and a Doctor on board helped me. When I recovered, we looked in the bag and all my birthday presents, money, etc were stolen.
But our passports, accommodation details , house and car keys were still in the back of the bag. We cried the whole journey and we’re going home the next day but as we married on 7/5/2003 , we decided to stay and celebrate our anniversary and my birthday.
We have been to 56 countries and never experienced anything like this. It is even more tragic because I was recently diagnosed with a terminal lung condition, so our last trip to Italy has been spoiled for ever. WHY IN GOD”s NAME ARE THE MILAN POLICE ALLOWING THESE EVIL PIGS TO OPERATE LIKE THIS?
IT IS A SHAMEFUL AMD DISGRACEFUL LACK OF CARE AMD HU,AMITY
It is an absolute disgrace
The incident happened 20/05/23 at 18.00-18.30 I got scam from local people by playing game 3 cups at the Venice island. *the main one close to the train station Santa Lucia. I lost €150 in 2 mins. I can see, *I assumed that they are a group of people 4-5 people working together and pretending playing the game. They tried to get my money from my pocket/wallet *they took my money away because I am not sure how this game work (by that time I am so panic and confused because they took my money from my hand). When I went back next day and I can't find them. The €150 is mean a lot for me. By that time I can't see the local police around.
I can't do anything on that time. I am feel very lost and frustrated. This is my first time experience to travel in Italy (Venise) I hope you should do something and this should not happen again with other tourist.
Location : Ponte degli scalzi
This deserves absolutely no stars. Daylight robbery. Never go here.
We were looking for a place to exchange pounds to euros and unfortunately stumbled across this disgusting place. It’s relatively near the train station and is on the street ‘campo san leonardo’.
We asked the woman behind the counter for the exchange rate and she clearly showed us 1.123 pounds to a euro. That sounded reasonable so we gave her the money.
She took the money without telling us how much we would receive, then only gave us money at a rate of 0.8 pounds to a euro. We immediately asked for the pounds back, but she refused and when we threatened to call the police she said that the police couldn’t do anything.
We called the police and they helped us greatly but still couldn’t get her to refund our money.
So many bad reviews for this company. Police and government should do sth. They totally ruined Venice reputation!!!
Around midnight on our last night in the Parma, someone utilized the bars on the first-floor window to climb into our second-floor kitchen window. The window was open slightly, because it was very warm and there is no air conditioning. I lost my passport, my driver's license, my VISA and debit cards, 150 Euros, and my car keys. It took me a week and a lot of money to recover enough ID to travel back home. The Parma police were useless (we tried THREE stations.)
Future guests need to be warned. We were sleeping ten feet away. Things might have been even worse if we'd confronted the thief.
