I tried to call Gin Gin Police Station at 5.30pm and there was no answer. The internet showed a website which began "are you having trouble getting through to Gin Gin Police station”
The real problem is that I have just heard that my grandniece has been attacked three times and a strange man with a mask broke into her house and she had the presence to lock herself in a room and he left. She was told it was legal that a man in a mask can just come into your house knowing you have just arrived and there is no one else at home. He drove his car into her yard which suggests he was going to try to take her away. Last night as she was walking home from her job she was throttled from behind and a man put his tongue down her throat. The policeman told her its the philipinos that is is their culture!!!!. there seem to be three men involved. My niece is a respected SES member of several years, now working to pay for her university course. She does not need this trauma and risk and fear, and I do not understand that policeman’s attitude. I hope the police in Gin Gin can be relied on when she needs help, with kindest regards Dr. Dawn Rayner-Brosnan.(I am a senior psychologist working with trauma and workers compensation clients and previously 21 years with university of Queensland) I can be contacted at my work phone tomorrow on 036228xxxx
