The LKA is the link between the Berlin police and the Federal Criminal Police Office. It conducts investigations itself and coordinates the exchange of information with other investigative and security authorities.
The Berlin State Criminal Police Office is active nationwide and is responsible for, among other things, serious and very serious crime, organized crime and gang crime, cross-border crime and the fight against politically motivated crime.
